Leaping Poem by S.E. Washburn

Leaping

Rating: 5.0

'What are we leaping to? '
Sugar, I haven't the faintest idea.
I don't much care.
As long as I'm leaping with you, I am content to land where I may.
Maybe we're leaping into Sakura in Tokyo.
Maybe we are leaping to something neither of us understand, and we can see the end before it comes.
Perhaps I am only leaping to conclusions and you were never interested.
The truth is I have no idea.
All I know is I want you to hold my hand and leap with me, Sugar, for the falling or the flying.

Passionate piece of poetry that depicts the spiritual bondage that is love, well articulated and nice penned from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem THE OBSESSIVE AGONY OF LOVE.

I have read your poem, and I have feedback - I am very much impressed by your ability to convey emotion while in verse- it is something I have always struggled with in my own writing. I do have one suggestion- A burden too heavy to bear is the only weak line I can see in this piece- I know you have the capability to say this without stooping to cliche such as this- you are very talented. Excellent job, keep up the good work.
