Land Of Ooi Poem by Shane Cooper

Land Of Ooi

I lay here lights out no one home.
The moon light shines through my room window so clean and bright.

The darkness held back by the power of the light. A cloud in the sky brings on the night and with it my soul sinks deeper into hiding and wondering.

It walks allowed on a hallowed path with scares from life and shouts from other broken men.

No  care can be heard or felt as this is broken Valley where lives come to be lost and cry out in pain.

No answers lay here and angles come to cry the Sun does not warm it scares and shows the cruel world of ooi.

As the moon light breaks through the cloud the ooi runs back and hides. Angels lift up and fly and men rebuild themselves and we all move through the hallowed road and never forget ooi can return.

Always there and never forgotten.
