The people lament
Why this great torment?
Why this cruel treatment?
Could this be the final judgement?

The people wail
Who is going to grant us bail?
All efforts seem to fail
Could this be an eternal jail?

The people cry
Freedom we are unable to buy
All efforts continually falls shy
Could it be our hope will never fly?

The people groan
What evil seed have we sown?
All efforts appear blown
Could it be our faith hasn't grown?
