Kind Heart Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Kind Heart

Kind heart

Even god showed imperfectness
When made man's face
Hidden it with crookedness
And sent to human race

If he was to be tested
He could have been retained
Trained and lectured
On how to spread peace and ordered

He kept mum and did nothing
Now he expected something
That human being excel in behavior
Stand for correctness and honor

I wondered
Why did he falter?
Trusted cunning fox
And sealed fate in box

They all proved jackals
Even worse than animals
Who cheated their own brethren?
And deceived children even

What was with parents to give?
No drop of leniency or to forgive
As they had practiced no tolerance
And always remained tense

Where was the time to give lessons?
Of humanity with reasons
As nature stood to show in support
But where was such kind art at heart?

Kind Heart
