Kill The Messenger Poem by Obodai Sonny

Kill The Messenger

Rating: 4.0

You saw no mouths on our spiritualists,
So you deemed our gods foodies,
That their homes be cleansed with fire,
And ours with your deity.
So we resurrected our enemies,
And uncharmed our loved ones,
But our enemies knew not your God
And those whose love we stole knew not of his
So the night came,
And was met with soothing melodies
So we laid our heads on your rock;
Only for our snores to awake the beasts..
Why did your God not wake us?
