Keeper Of Broken Hearts Poem by Fiona Davidson

Keeper Of Broken Hearts

Softly, gently she collects your heart
Almost without you noticing it
Carefully she stores them inside her
In a room made to fit them all
Comfort comes to cradle them
The shattered pieces all gathered
To slowly place each one in a net
Sealed with a kiss to strengthen
Wrapped in wings of golden feathers
She talks in whispers to heal them
Tenderness poured daily upon scars
Passion builds their future on warmth
Hurt and loneliness chased away
By desire back to shadowed lands
No home here for sorrow only joy
The keeper of broken hearts cries
Her tears of life upon your soul
As she expands her heart with love
