Just Right Poem by Jayson Howard

Just Right

One time we were hanging around,
on the outside of town,
where we were screaming each others' names,
and playing those games.

I sang us some songs,
and you sang along.
You were always the cool kid,
I always said such stupid, things...

Because all those nights,
I wanted to hold you tight,
and every moment,
you were by my side,
I just wanted a sweet kiss,
that one true wish,
where everything turned out,
just right.

So I'm sitting in silence,
but inside I am violent.
You're sitting there,
without a care.

So we hit road,
to see where goes.
I'm driving and you're looking at me.
Tell me, what do you see?

Because all those nights,
I wanted to hold you tight,
and every moment,
you were by my side,
I just wanted a sweet kiss,
that one true wish,
where everything turned out,
just right.

So what are we doing doing here?
And what do we do now?
I don't know what this is.
Maybe we should figure it out...

Because all those nights,
I wanted to hold you tight,
and every moment,
you were by my side,
I just wanted a sweet kiss,
that one true wish,
where everything turned out,
just right.
Just Right.
