I’m surprised
I thought I would be able to walk away
But something about you is holding me back
Something about you makes me smile
Makes me laugh
Something about when you talk
Makes me melt
You’re just out of reach
But every moment I spend with you
Pulls me closer
But sometimes I’m afraid that if I do get you close
You might slip
Like you did before
You slipped
Right through my fingertips
But I’ll be more careful this time
I won’t let you go
