Just Knowing Poem by Sandra Feldman

Just Knowing

Rating: 5.0

The sensitivity of some poets,
Is impossible to reproduce,
To even explain.
It's as if for them,
All of Life is presented,
So naturally, so plain,
Instantly knowing,
What it's all about,
Naturally, glowing,
Without doubt,
Feeling Life's Love
Even in the rain.

So true these words are Sandra, it seems quite a mystery, there were times when I would be writing a poem and with one phrase I would start another poem and before I was through this the second, another line would send me into another poem, and I would wind up with 3 unfinished poems, I envy those who with the greatest of ease write poetry as easy as talking in their sleep, but the best poetry to me is those that come as labor pains come with the birthing of a child, real emotion from the heart cannot be matched with words dressed in fancy dress, when I read poetry that is encrypted, I don't waste my time..those poems are for the writer and not the reader and that's ok, I have learned a valuable lesson for myself never to rush a poem, you well know the feeling when inspiration comes on us....it's as if we are not even trying to write, it just pops in our mind, there are so many poets that have different styles which I can't wait to read, yours, Seamus, Harley white is another in a class of her own, and the list goes on and on, this poem is so nice and fitting, we all feel this way.

Wonderful poem and wonderful mystery indeed, the magic that some poets and poems manage to conjure up. It's like the beauty of language: how to rationalize that? Thanks for sharing this, Sandra.
