Just A Thought Poem by Jude Lavu

Just A Thought

She had a thought
It was only a thought
Or so she thought
So she took it with a grain of salt
Because she wasn't at fault.

She wanted to take a flight
And get out of sight
Only if life could be bought
She wouldn't be there, she thought.

In her brooding contemplation, the thought struck
She would take the flight
In the middle of night
A thought conceived out of fright.

She'd get out of the cage
Enslave herself from the rage
And with the pace of a snail
Tiptoe without a leaving a trail.

And only then will her face glow
And all of her burdens she'll throw
For she wasn't at fault
She just wanted it to come to a halt
