Just A Dog Poem by Elaine Mckendrick

Just A Dog

How a room can suddenly be so empty
since when was there a ticking clock

how can a life vanish so suddenly
all the silence does is mock

Expecting the expected
The things i took for granted

Just a dog, some may say
But it hurts, when they go away

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
