July Poem by Leah chelsea Johnson

July

Holding on like a force unexplained, my body feels emotionally drained,
Counting the tears as they fall from my tired eyes, holding myself closely so no one hears my cries,
This hollow body is left for you to see, you are to blame, and you did this to me,
You tore my heart from my chest, bled me dry and left me to rest,
My wounds still open for you to prey, ignoring my requests for you to stay,
Walk away and let me believe, that you my love would never deceive,
Go on your way say goodbye, leave me again like you did that July.
