Judge Me Poem by Randy McClave

Judge Me

Rating: 5.0

Judge me for who I am
And not by what others have said,
You should really give a damn
Ifyou allow accusations to fill your head.
Look at the person doing the judging
Then just think to yourself and ask yourself why,
Are they doing a little bit of grudging
Just to give me a bloody nose or a blackened eye.
Has the accuser ever cheated or lied
Have they ever judged anyone falsely before,
Has honestly or loyalty ever been on their side
Or maybe they are just jealous, envious and sore.
First look at the life that I lead
Then look at what I have done and did,
Then remember to first always heed
Whenever others never listen or forbid.
Now look at the one that is doing the deciding
Is it out of resentfulness or maybe pity or shame,
On false accusations their soul is riding
But, never into the heavens, but into a flame.
Look at the life that I am living
Then look at the life my accuser had to invent,
Through God I am always helping and giving
My soul has not yet been spent.
Look at the shoes that I walk in
Before you think or even start to accuse,
I can proudly tell you where I have been;
Now,look at their shoes.
Don't judge me by rumors or by their lies
As once was spoke unto Abraham,
Don't become a liar's gullible prize
And if you judge, judge me for who I am.
