Journey Poem by Evageline Echo

Journey

Pain all over, running through my veins inflamed on the surface of my skin, more visible than ever.

Keep moving keep moving don't stop can't stop. Stop too long and you'll sink

Into the mire, tearful swamps suffocating the breath from your lungs, falling deep deep deeper down.

Is there really a rock bottom and how do you know when you've hit it?

Does a bell ring, a banner fall down saying congratulations you are as

low as you can get

Wish life came with a money back guarantee,

Sir I would like to return these wounds please, no, keep the change, just take this back to the stockroom of busted hearts and broken dreams.

Clean up in Aisle 5, mop up that sorrow and slap a shiny new coat of

Pollyanna plastic emotion on top.

Act like nothing happened, nothing to see here

These jagged edges I'm crawling over are just the

shattered pieces of my delicate soul, these blood drops are my hopes,

and these tears, these tears, now you see them, now you don't, scrub

that away, gotta keep moving, don't stop don't stop, don't FEEL.
