I may find peace here, tucked away in your hair,
On the touch of your skin, through the warmth of your crooked smile.
Enveloping me, tangled up in the memory of you and me and sunlight and heat
Searing, scorching, cleansing.
Collapsing me upside inside downwards upon myself, bursting into phoenix flames
Shaking off the newly crafted ashes, I have been razed like the forest out of mountain's shadow, the smoky edges destroyed yet recreated
This ground will not lay fallow long
Regrowth renewal rebirth back into being alive awake aware.
New teardrops shake from my lashes
Wake up wake up, rejoin the world again in your new old body.
