Listening to Bobby Dylan on the radio
Cause I wanna be like a boabab tree
And a boabab tree is free

Smoking another Gauloises cigarette
Cause I wanna be like a pretty flower
And a pretty flower has all the power

Taken a drive on a dirt road
Cause i wanna be the president
And a president has all the money from the laws they bent

Drinking from my plastic Coke
Cause I wanna be a judge
And being a judge does not mean much

Making love to a beautiful girl
Cause I wanna be a wild dog
And a wild dog kills defenceless boers

Flying to a red moon
Cause I wanna be blind
And if I am blind I won’t mind


Eating a gourmet meal
Cause I wanna vote
And if I vote I am a rudderless boat

Praying to a redefined God
Cause I wanna wear a dress
And if I wear a dress Allah will take care of the rest

Dancing on top of Table mountain
Cause I wanna play chess
And if I play chess white moves first and black cannot protest

Stopping at a drive thru take away
Cause I wanna be a hole in the ozone layer
And if I am a hole I become mayor

Killing unborn babies in the alleys
Cause I wanna be christmas lights
And if I am christmas lights who cares about human rights

Feeling xenophobic in a pothole street
Cause I wanna be a unionist
And if I am a unionist I can show my fist

Painting sunflowers on my car
Cause I wanna hate
And if I hate I can rape

Daddy’s gonna buy you a democracy
And if the democracy don’t work
Daddy will buy you an affirmative company
