John's Prayer Poem by Randy McClave

John's Prayer

God is great, and God is good
As I thank him again for my food,
I also thank him for the food on my neighbors table
If they can't eat it, Lord I am always able.
Please God in heaven before we meet
May I have some more food to eat,
And as the star that had come from the east
When I look that way, I just want to feast.
Please God let there be no more war
Because of food, I need and want more,
And please Lord on Earth can their be final peace
So, my desserts will not ever cease.
Lord as you know many people call me fat
And honestly, I am ok with that,
If I weren't fat I would had been athletic built or thin
Then Amber wouldn't be able to laugh or grin.
So, now as I say this prayer to you
Might I please have another 2 liter Mountain Dew,
Unto you Lord I am now humbling
And as you listen, my stomach is once again rumbling.
So, Lord I will now end this Prayer
As I hope someone's lunch I hope that I can share,
Lord as you know I am no longer a sinner
So, I sit at your table hoping for another dinner.
