Joe Camellery Poem by S.D. TIWARI

Joe Camellery

At a juncture of the journey of my life
I met a person named Joe Camellery
I inked the brief on a piece of paper,
what I learned about his simple story.

Flames of second world-war was ablaze,
an angel was struggling to step on the land.
In nineteen forty four, on St. Joseph's day
John and Hilda were blessed as parents.

The happy couple named him, baby Joe.
The new born was very cute adorable boy.
With time, the naughty chap grew young
who filled in their life, a wonderful joy.

In his life for Joe, it was not any late,
A pretty girl Joan, came to grace his fate.
Expert Joan taught him, ballroom dance;
later she would become his life mate.

Joe and Joan loved each other so much,
they put their hearts on the love's spree.
Felt unendurable to live without the other,
they got married in nineteen sixty three.

Joan gave ever, blissful company to him,
and for her love, won a proud husband.
Joe always loved all his social relations,
and all the time, been friend of the friends.

With grace of God, happy Joe and Joan
got blessed to have their personable son.
With cute grand and great grand children,
their pretty family tree was further grown.

Joe is superannuated from his official job,
but real job of his life, would now start.
His great love and passion to the nature,
henceforth, in full swing would embark.

Joe loved to live simple and joyful life,
he always been active, healthy and fit.
He assumed the life as 'the glory of god'
kept in his heart, the name of Jesus lit.

He had to maintain his lovely big house,
that was shared by all of his pretty birds.
He opted to take care, in his house lawn,
of the variety of green plants and herbs.

He has stepped into seventies of his life,
with cheerful heart and in good health.
Backyard of his house is a bird sanctuary,
and numerous of plants made his wealth.

He leaves his bed, before the sun rises,
with all of his chirping birds, he tweets.
Outside birds come too, flying in his yard.
He welcomes with joy and nicely feeds.

Joe loves to watch the fluffing feathers,
and enjoys listening bird's sweet songs.
It makes him distressful and very sad,
if with any birdie, anything goes wrong.

He is dedicated for an outstanding care
to all of his birds and the plants, darling.
He also touches all of his plants daily,
and wishes the neighbours 'good morning'.
