Jealousy Poem by Evangeline Ray

Jealousy

Perturbed I was, for a moment
May be the green monster of jealous
Had me in hold, the very time
I did what I should n`t.
Nothing else has me so disturbed,
Than the monsters shadow over me.
Reaches he, when a friend does well
Or she gets admired and not me
It fills my eyes with tears
When a friend of mine is in tears
And the very silent speaker bulges out
When he or she is admired.
Many times have I warned
'Don`t come again', have I cried
Nothing matters, this unrivaled king
Has his arrival, got he stuffs to do.
Well, may be he does some good too
Like this poem, which I would n`t have written
If my friend`s has not caught me prison-ed
