Death Poem by Evangeline Ray

Death

Oh! brutal death
Who is thy father
No sacred streams
Can wipe the curse on you
No tears will
Bid thou condolence
As your ruthless instinct
Has broken many hearts.
Thou sprang up
midst of merry
Why art thou
Taking our joys to bury.
