Jade Flute Poem by Cigeng Zhang

Jade Flute

Rating: 5.0

Sky is laying the mushroom seed
on the roof of his wooden cabin
Leaning against a magnolia tree
I intently stare at a wonder of shine
Find him behind a noiseless lily pond
O, a greenish flute in hands, playing
Ballade through his fingers so mild
The angelic air around, lingering long
Convey a tranquil note to heaven
The grace of serenity eases my mind

'The angelic air around, lingering long Convey a tranquil note to heaven The grace of serenity eases my mind' flutes can be haunting, who can tie down notes, playing on the wind

It's so appropriate referring to ZEN with this poem. It has that quality of finding enlightenment in the most ordinary things of everyday life. And the sound of the jade flute is symbolic of the artistic side of living a life of simple but genuine joys. ORDINARY-ARTISTIC-SYMBOLIC-JOYFUL: these are words that describe the lives of the remarkable poets of China and America. Your poem conveys the integrity of that kind of life. And it's a necessary poem-How else will we learn how to live this good life of ZEN?
