Jady Dandelion Poem by Cigeng Zhang

Jady Dandelion

Rating: 5.0

moon
is the jady dandelion
worn on the crown of the night

stars
are the flocculent halos
scattered by the heavenly wind

with ethereal lightness
quietly move into the depths of the sky
away from the worldly eyes …

Really beautiful poem, Dandelions are such a wonderful plant with lots of uses it's a same most people treat them as weeds.

Yes, this IS fantasy but it pulls me into its topsy-turvy world rather than keeping me out. I like the movement in this poem; first, the moon pulls us up to the CROWN OF NIGHT, then the STARS are unfixed from their cosmic fixity and something as gentle as HEAVENLY WIND hides them, so they're free of prying eyes. You've created a whole new universe characterized by ETHEREAL LIGHTNESS in contrast to the violence of our actual universe with black hole, novae, dark matter. You have re-imagined creation as something gentle and sweet and shy. I love the sweetness of your alternative universe! !
