Now we say hello to each other
Only the last page left in calendar
We have a lot yet to say
Knowing our songs no last page
Even time goes by, and
Stars change in position
We say, we sing, we want to stay!
Sing to a brand new mighty sun
Sing to the world we cherish on
Sing to the heart warm or lone
Now we say goodbye to each other
Our inevitable path is next page
Cigeng, this is one of my favorite New Year poems! Somehow you were able to express both the gentle melancholy of the loss of them old year and a muted joy in greeting a new year. The two seemingly opposite emotions are both evoked and treated as equal. I appreciate the quiet confidence you display without exaggerating yourself: This poem celebrates a community of people with you as everyone's spokesperson. I take away with me a special kind of mood of reconciliation to time passing. I don't feel I've lost time but rather fulfilled it and moved forward. It's awkward putting into prose words what you convey so deftly in poetic words! !
Thank you for your very kind comment. Hope not too late to say Happy New Year! I appreciate your beautiful sharing as usual.
Our inevitable path is the next page. Thanks for sharing your celebretory New Year's poem. Happy New Year. :)

the pages of life keep turning, new chapters sudden end past normality, our life pages open close briefly in the river of our lives, today tomorrow yesterday share close spacial association, memories blaze in passion motive themes but what weight will the book of lived life carry?
