Ivory Of Charoite Ballad Poem by Enchanting Owl

Ivory Of Charoite Ballad

Rating: 5.0

Do you still wish and pray for a happy ending?
To see is to believe, but my hope is descending.
Wanting to write my own phenomenal fairytale,
And finding my steadfast knight, but it is a fail.

I was astonished as tears fell and I felt down.
My tears are a sharp sword; my cry is a rusted crown.
As I descried you dancing with others with your hands tied,
The wound ached, the pain cut deep, and the body died.

At that very condemnatory down moment,
Seeing you is torture; looking at me is torment.
All I wanted was to vanish and go out completely.
Can't take it if you kiss someone passionately.

All of a sudden, my blue eyes met yours with plea.
You smiled, you grinned, and you turned your head away with glee.
Poison is my banquet, and depression is my new wine.
I checked my face in the mirror; I was not fine.

Surrendering myself to this secluded cage,
Feeling breathless and flailing lifeless for all ages.
I am waiting for seconds, minutes, hours, and days to pass.
To heal is both a grace and an anguish that lasts.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
We want to experience a perfect love story, an ideal partner, a glorious relationship, and an out-of-the-fairytale connection. But we forget that in love, not all is rainbows and unicorns; we forget that we have to go through certain stages like depression, rejection, unrequited love, etc. before getting the right story. We tend to forget that life is both white and black. When all fails, we are afraid to love again; we are so caught up in the last relationship that we are having trouble moving on.
