It's Getting Darker Poem by Babatunde Aremu

It's Getting Darker

Many hoped for a new dawn
But it's still foggy and misty,
Visibility is still blurred.
Instead of brightness
Its getting darker
Our hopes ebb are thawing as snows.
No compass, no navigator,
We are either in limbo or abyss,
Left at the vortex of boisterous seas
To fight the tides
Or wallow in thick darkness forever.
