It Won'T Be Long Poem by Andrew Matthews

It Won'T Be Long

I play my Guitar all day long
Trying to find that beautiful song
Trying hard day and night
I hope it won't be too long.

Plucking strumming
Any which way
I wish I only had something to say.

The illusive melody we all wish we had in us.
Makes me believe undoubtedly
in mozarts genius.

Hendrix and Clapton's melodic phrases
should not be put down to phases
genius they are, in all cases.

As for my idiotic tunes
they should not be heard
except by loons.
