It Was A Day /Like You Might Wish All Days To Be

IT WAS A DAY /LIKE YOU MIGHT WISH ALL DAYS TO BE

It was a day like you might wish
All days to be-
Clear bright cool-

I walked slowly
Pushing the shopping cart
Through the park-
On all sides
Greens and yellows
Feasted my eyes.

I walked down the long pavement
To home-

It does not matter how old I am
Or how old I’ll be-
I am happy now.
