It's The Beer Talking Poem by John Thorkild Ellison

It's The Beer Talking

Rating: 5.0

'What on earth are you going to do?
What's your role in the human zoo?
Don't tell me that you haven't a clue!
Just what on earth are you going to do? '

'I'm going to grab the bull by the horns!
I'll play with the pieces, not the pawns!
I'm going to change the way people think
And I'm going to do it with pen and ink!

'My poems are going to be so good
That starving people won't need any food,
They'll drink and dine upon my verse
And call me Lord of the Universe!

'You don't believe I can do these things?
But surely you know that pigs have wings?
It's not that I'm an egotist,
I've been drinking all day and now I'm pissed! ! '
