It's A Brand New Day

It's a brand new day
For new hopes,
New dreams,
New thoughts to pen,
New hopes to make life worth while;
New corners to turn
New smiles to smile.
Rise up
To greet this day,
Touch the hand of a friend
Along the way.
Let your laughter ring out loud,
Like the roar of thunder,
Then write a poem
To be tucked under
Someone's pillow
Tonight.

Poem of the Day

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
