It Isn't Our World Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

It Isn't Our World

this isn't our world
this isn't our world
and it would be everything, everything
with a heart for a compassion to love

you see, He had made us
took us from nothing
and created life
this very something
gave us purpose
it was beautiful
and once we drifted apart
We commit actions inexcusable

this isn't our world
this isn't our world
and it would be everything, everything
with a heart for a compassion to love

He see what he knows as man and what he knows as woman
he see how misery
cause them to work against their nature
but this would bring them nothing
nothing but pain
He can heal the wounds we inflict upon ourselves
but that's only when we call upon his help

we're so lost in the darkness
and it's why we become heartless
