It Is Not My Fault Poem by Sophia Smith

It Is Not My Fault

it isn't my fault,
so please don't hurt me.
If you do my heart might come to a hault.
Please, listen to my plea.
You are drunk,
And you don't know what you are doing.
I am hiding on my bunk.
this is a very frightful viewing.
I will wait until your gone,
then run away, never to return.
Until then, I pray for dawn.
Do you have the least bit of concern?
You can here my prayers,
you are coming to get me.
I hit the wall as my skin tears,
It is getting harder now for me to see.
I can hear the angels call my name,
as you make your assult.
i hope you burn in the eternal flame,
I have one more thing to say, 'It was not my fault.'
