Is it really about to be over?
So suddenly so soon?
Are so few new cases
The sign of liberation?
These weeks of closed-up lockdown
Soon to end
Freedom restored
For simple everyday life tasks
An end to the endless anxiety
Over approaching or being approached by anyone?
Difficult to know
The second wave threat there still
But nonetheless
A bit more hope
Life will be life again perhaps
Though the reckoning of loss
Here also.
