Intrusion Poem by Raven Maloy

Intrusion

Rating: 5.0

Light pours like an unchained river in spring
Floods the void of my being
An unwanted intrusion, commotion unasked for
I yearn the silence back
Put me amongst my roses black
The river once flew in me
Beaten and thought this soul
That beauty is far too much to bear
Made me swear never to wander into the vallies deep
Never to traverse the scars that sweep o'er me
