Intruder Poem by Edwin Robinette

Intruder

Rating: 5.0

Obscure to where I am going
Blind to where I have been
Darkness over-rides my psyche
Leaving vision somewhat dim

I feel a surge of panic
Understanding the need to go
An unseen eerie presence
Impales a sense of woe

What lurks within these shadows
Causing such dismay
Forcing myself to move along
Wanting to survive another day

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

As a writer who has a strong proclivity for the macabre/darkside verse...i must agree with Rehan....There is indeed a skilled lyrical flavour to this poetic gem...Excellent Work, Edwin! ~ FjR ~ ..2008..
