Inspiration Poem by Poetry Guy

Inspiration

The page remains a blank
Ideas, half formed,
Wont reach the pen.

Words, phrases, thoughts
Just out of reach.
The door is closed.

Then it happens
A word, a comment, a look
Fits like a key in a lock.

The door opens,
Ideas coalesce, thoughts define themselves,
And work can begin.

I know the feeling well, Poetry Guy, I wrote one called Inspiration too, in a similar vein, it's on my poems list if you have the time to peruse. I always wonder how suddenly something just clicks and there is another 'poem' in the making. Nice to read someone else's interpretation. Thanks. Love Ernestine XXX

I really know how you feel Poetry Guy. I feel it right now! But isn't that feeling great when you finally put things together... Well done!
