Insomnia

you came back again
just when i thought
you had enough of me
i was thankful for the
last few months you left
me in peace
me and my pillows
my weary eyes finally took a
break
from endless books and tv shows
you went away
i hoped for good
but now you are back
and so are my eyebags.

Hi, I read the poem 'Insomnia' by Eloida Capuno. I understand the bagginess in the lower lids due to prolonged awakening and sleeplessness, as I am an Eye surgeon. So, as the say goes, 'Early to bed' and one should not be an addict to TV shows. Dr.V.K.Kanniappan
