Inside Password Poem by Sybil Staples

You have come to bring a light a message.
I know You; I recognize and remember You
and this crafty job You must do.

You have woken me completely to our inside password;
the one I promised to remember
when the time was right.

You turned my eye's view away from the world
and then back to You.

Please help me see this light without the suffering
(I know it burns in the hearts of all humans) .
If experienced uniquely to us as humans,
narrow will seem the truth of our eternal nature.
Your filament; a fragrance on a spring flower
is but a bee's buzz on the earth's air currents.
Your view is wider and clearer.
You come to me from a long line
of life's experiences.
I cannot live in the now and with the ‘and then'.
The ‘and then' only knows 'not itself' in its moment.
The belief that I can, is the only illusion.
If in a moment, I meet Your eyes in someone else's,
in that moment you burst open; wide and fully
and comes a waft of the timeless and eternal.
Illusion has no thing with which to cast lasting shadows.
I Thank You for you steadfast delivery!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When pain knocks on the door the choice is given to find what it has to teach you or not take the offer to progress with one of the most life changing forms we're given as humans.
