'Inside One's Mind' Poem by dan wittenkeller

'Inside One's Mind'

Rating: 2.7

Empty blank walls
Closed doors
Only opened to a key
The one that unlocks a rage
That unlocks a hatred
Of what is living inside one's soul,
Not suppose to show its face
Only in the space it provides,
Crys to be touched by a rose
But can't reach the garden nearby
A clenched fist of anger it holds
A heart of a death,
Whimpering for a way to make it all end,
Skys turning from blue to gray
Sun to dark
Lights out
Black out
Needing to reach the end of the tunnel
With broken legs and arms
Disabled from all that's good
Encouraged by pity thoughts
Thoughts that control its rapid heart of madness
When all this can change with
One touch
One finger
One kiss
One smile
One breath
Thus creating two,
A pair that can last a lifetime
Worth a lifetime
Of happiness and eternity
