Inner Warmth Poem by Rebecca Hogan

Inner Warmth

When the darkness starts to dance gently, slowly
covering the mountain's body, quietly, and a refreshing breeze kisses my skin. Its pace matches how the shadows engulf the view.
I see you and I see me. We're sitting beside one another, sharing silence, breathing in what surrounds us, appreciating being able to share this moment together.
Seconds that vanish away into the universe,
but we will carry this memory within our hundreds and thousands of thoughts, until our brains forget how to remember.
