In Woodstock Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

In Woodstock

In Woodstock

Once in us was something or someone
Believers named that "God"
Meant knowledge
And conscious
Or its lack
Reliance.

In this way long time passed
Till came war of science
Earthquake, volcano
Our lives shook
Was buried
In lava.

With meanings, standards having changed
Questions soared from depths to skies;
Extract and in short: "What is life? "
And train won't stop its wagons
Doubtlessly come questions
Changing life and its law.

In the past doctors meant to cure
They were there to save life
Now by law they can kill
Easily pull plug.

Therefore youths
Are stuck helplessly
Look around seeking right
They search, search and get lost
Best reply to them is committing suicide

Suicide…suicide...suicide…
A new example can be found
In town that I have been; Woodstock.
