In The Long Night Of My Loneliness Poem by Shalom Freedman

In The Long Night Of My Loneliness

In the long night of my loneliness
I wait for her return
How could I have let her go without me?
Without her I am lost
I wait here and suffer in the waiting
I pray she is alright
Why didn't I go with her?
I miss her so
I know I must be with her as long as we both can
Why did I let her go without me?
The night is long and loneliness longer without her
