In The Green Poem by Amen Jamir

In The Green

Rating: 5.0

Here
in the Green
where
I wander,
the blue birds come
to feed on cherries;
and
the Hornbill nests
upon tall red timbers.

Here
in the Green
when
it is Spring,
wild rhododendrons
and white lilies bloom;
and
May Queen is crowned
with pink carnations.
