In Slumber Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

In Slumber

Rating: 5.0

In sound sleep; in slumber
Upon a dream I peeped,
A vision unseen was seen
By my dreamy eyes asleep.

Shall we proclaim
Our love to the world
Or should I drum it aloud?
‘No, ’ uttered your ruby lips
‘No, ’ protested your cheeks.

I slept in glory
To wake up aghast
Such in my love for you-
O my maiden, O my love
Will you be my beloved?

This is so romantic and sweet! The interplay between a dreamy state and the wishful thinking is absolutely lovely!

I am sure you woke up with the hang over of the sweet dream you had of your beloved! When we are in love, such dreams are quite natural! Enjoyed the poem!
