The elements
Of history and politics,
Drama and political strategy,
Debate and discussion,
Protest poetry, drama and criticism,
Economy, culture and tradition,
Drawing of cartoons and graffiti,
Postering with bills and agenda
As shown on billboards and cardboards
We all liked it,
Admired and appreciated it
But patriarchal, communal, fanatical things
Disturbed the street theatre
Getting mired into controversies
Which they could not handle it
And it too did not go well with
As they fiddled with national issues too
Rather than cutting it short, lengthened it.
