In Search Of Soul Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

In Search Of Soul

He migrated as many did,
Material wealth as the sole goal,
And earned a lot dough indeed,
But what he thought diamond, turned coal,
And at the end of all the roam,
Alas, he had to return home,
Back home in search of his lost soul!
He might have returned rich,
Lifestyle on lofty pitch,
But where there once was soul, there's hole!

Fine poem. May be he needs to search for his soul wherever he is or whatever he is doing. Journey isn’t finished yet.

Thank you Ms Savita Tyagi, you're right. But this happens when money, means, and material well-being becomes the sole or over-riding aim.
