In Search Of Self Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

In Search Of Self

It may look so odd
But man can well exceed God,
His turf's seldom sod.

True spirituality is search of Self (to know Self) , not god realization. To know self is to know god. This is what Upanishads say. This is what aham bramāsmi means, what tat tvam asi means, ayam ātmā brahma means. Turkish poet Seyid Imadeddin Nesimi said: Aitlaaf miz khut meezawar ust. I have gone beyond god. The word khut in Turkish till early 9th century meant ‘self esteem'. Slowly khut became khud, khudi, and khuda. Read also ‘Man, his own God', Haiku |21.02.2019|.

A brilliant Haiku on God and self realization is astutely delineated. It is very good to have the Note about True spirituality. Thank you dear Pathak sir for this nice work.
