In Principle And In Practice Poem by Gary James Smith

In Principle And In Practice

In Principle And In Practice

In principal and in practice
The truth keeps marching on
And since it is our freedom Master
Is well deserves a song
So I sing a song about Jesus
Who gives the greatest of liberty
For He is the truth personified
If you know Him then you'll be free!

Sin is a hard task master
It's bent on bringing you down
Whenever you wrestle with it in your life
It usually walks away with the crown
But there's One who took sin to judgement
And nailed it to a an old rugged Cross
Hanging as a King with a crown of thorns
That's what truth did for us!

Truth bore the burden of Calvary
Yet honored it still with His word
Destroy this temple and in three days
I'll be alive again...be assured!
And truth became Resurrected!
Praise God for His Sacrifice for us
A fine demonstration of immortality...
In principle and in practice!

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
