In Regards Poem by Gary James Smith

In Regards

In Regards

In regards to God's love
I plead guilty
I've accepted His great love for me
I acknowledged in my heart... that I was a sinner
And I believed that Christ died on Calvary
Then His grace came in like flooding waters
All my sin was washed...was washed away
I never knew such freedom in forgiveness
All the burdens of my heart were rolled away

Christ in me...my blessed hope of glory
His Resurrection... proves that I shall live
The fear of death has lost its grip upon me
The Spirit of God now aids me to forgive
The love of God how can this tongue describe it
My heart knows right well...the change that Jesus gives
Now I live with an eternal hope of Salvation
In full confidence because Lord Jesus lives

O there is a balm...there is a balm in Gilead
An ointment sure...the great Physician prescribes
Bring your heart...bring it with full repentance
And know your God...for He shall dwell inside
There's a hallowedness to those blessed Hallelujah's
That sound forth...sound forth from a soul set free
Hallelujah for that Crucified Saviour
Hallelujah that He died for me

Great is the gift of our God's great faithfulness
Who came on a mission...on a mission to save
And clothed Himself...clothed Himself in humanity
As a servant to all...right up to the grave!
But that grave...was gravely ineffective
In could not keep...not keep God's love away
For an empty tomb still greets every seeker
And praise God the name..of Jesus Christ still saves! ! !

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
