In My America Poem by Randy McClave

In My America

In my America
There wouldn't be any political hysteria,
A politician would not be a millionaire
And for the poor and needy they'd be aware.
No one would be poorly educated
Because as equals, by God we all were created,
And there would be no racist groups
And no thoughts of dictatorships or militia troops.
Trump would be in jail
Rittenhouse would be there as well,
Floyd would still be living
Help to the poor and needy we'd always be giving.
Parenthood would be planned
Assault rifles would be banned,
Roe vs Wade would still be the law
Never on any U.S boarders would there be a wall.
Books would not be forbidden
Reading or owning them would not be hidden,
All books no matter of their subject, stores would carry
They'd even be in the public library.
The rich would finally pay their fair share
Paying taxes the retired and the working class should not bare,
Free healthcare for every America citizen
No matter what state or city that they are living in.
Hate groups would not be known as patriotic or regal
They all would be illegal,
Immigrants would not be hated and condemned
For seeking a better life for their family and them.
No matter of the color of any person's hand
With them our flag waves and our constitution does stand,
In our history books truths would always be written
From it facts would never be erased or smitten.
Whether a shovel or a pen or a book is the main tool
Critical race theory would be taught in every school,
We are not none a privileged esoterica
Here in my America.
