In Limbo Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

In Limbo

In limbo

My life is like a bird's
On ground cats in herds
On branch the wind shakes
But the worst is my own wing
Broken like that owl's
At window, colorful with large eyes
In brain, maybe wise
But helpless and in need
With hellish life indeed

"Read and learn"
For long time I advised
Now I am, badly lost
Old, expert, look around
Look at board and Profs
They carry tons of books
With papers and they talk
My colleagues; students
Simple lambs and searching
A grade, diploma
With false hope to get job
I wonder if they see
Why many are leftist
"Hey listen you baby..."
I intend; but should I?
They're busy with nothing
Except, read, get grade
To work, pay, only hope
"These Profs teach Sessions."
Is my talk waste of time?
"They feel the communist."
Now I am enemy.
"Tenures are capitalist..."
It's too much for this list.
What I say instead:
"Grade well the teacher."
That of course takes place
Once only, ‘Students Evaluate'.
